9/4/2024 Kiski River Alert . . .
Upriver from Roaring Run, a temporary bridge has been built next to the Salina Bridge which is being replaced. The temporary bridge is at water level and will carry heavy equipment across the river to the Edmond side on river-right. Portage is a nice gradual ramp on river-left. Several signs and buoys direct paddlers toward the boat ramp. There is plenty of clearance under the bridge and paddling through is allowed. Stay in the center of the river as obstructions exist along both banks. Expect an easy class 1 rapid just beyond the bridge due to more water being channeled toward the center of the river.
