April 25-26 2026 Cannons were firing during the 4th US Artillery spring muster weekend. The weekend was packed with safety drills and demonstrations.

April 23, 2026 The RRWA was so excited to host the Second and Third Grade students from Apollo Ridge today for their Trout in the Classroom Fingerling release!! The kids raised these trout from eggs and learned about our watershed and conservation efforts. This year long program teaches them about ecosystems, habitats, natural resources, and management strategies to protect and enhance cold water resources.

6/21/2025 The Kiski Watershed Association and RRWA joined forces for a dumpsite cleanup this morning. A huge thanks goes out to all of the volunteers who showed up to help! It was a hot, muddy mess but everyone worked so hard! A special thank you to our Kiski Area Keyclub kids who killed it today! We loved having you!
6/19/2025 All this rain has brought down some huge trees on Rock Furnace Trail, but yet again are volunteers are there to fix it!! Thanks again guys!!

10/30/2024: The new Rock Furnace Trail sign is installed. Thanks to all the volunteers!
9/10/2024: Reclaiming land decimated by mine discharge at the "Burgundy Discharge" site: volunteers lay down lime, fertilizer, and grass seed, before covering it all with tons of mushroom manure. 9/3/2024: Work continues on the new section of the Rock Furnace Trail, planting grass and laying down several rolls of straw to help fight soil erosion. 8/27/24: Generous corporate donations helped complete the new Rock Furnace Trail parking lot. Eastern Gas Transmission and Storage not only donated $5,000, but an additional check for $12,000 as well. CNX donated $10,000. and People's Gas gave $3,500. We want to send a special thank you to our corporate partners!
7/25/24: The Rock Furnace Trail and new Rock Furnace parking lot in Kiski Township are now open!
7/20/2024: 200 participants registered for RRWA’s annual Race to the Moon 5K Run/Walk night race on July 20th, making this our largest race ever!
Work is continuing on the new Rock Furnace parking lot addition in Kiski Township
